Video on demand servers are complex, expensive and inappropriate to be used in low-budget environments.
This work proposes an approach to use an open source web server and an open source content management system as a video on demand platform for public web purposes. Pseudo-streaming over the hyper text transfer protocol is introduced with the supporting web server features. A practical implementation of the solution is provided with the extensions made to WordPress content
management system
